2007-03-06 - Epygi Launches Quadro ISDN SIP Gateway

IP-based IP PBX supplier Epygi Technologies introduced on Monday the QuadroISDN SIP gateway, a new multifunction PSTN/VoIP gateway which can be used to increase the number of PSTN lines available at a business' network viaISDN, as well as delivers voicemail and auto attendant functionality.

With the new QuadroISDN in place, now enterprises will be able to expand the number of outside lines (ISDN BRI) on a network which employs QuadroIP PBXs. Each of the new gateways is capable of adding up to four outside trunks.

The new gateways can be used to add inbound phone lines, control outbound call volumes between IP and analog phones, add fax machines and assign individual direct dial numbers.

According to Epygi, the Quadro IP PBX automatically recognizes the new ISDN ports and integrates them into its management system during the configuration process.

Today's news comes on the heels of Epygi's announcement about teaming up with SIP trunking services provider BandTel to market VoIP for small and medium sized businesses (SMBs). BandTel's (News - Alert) architecture is interoperable with Epygi's Quadro IP-PBX product line. The new partnership will allow the companies to offer VARs and SMBs an interoperable solution which combines BandTel's global ITSP network with Quadro VoIP IP PBX systems by Epygi.
