2011-03-01 - Epygi Quadro IP PBX – Fax to email setup
Here’s a handy step by step guide on how to configure fax to email on the Epygi Quadro IP PBX.
Step 1:
Check the fax receiving extension to see if the "Enable T.38 Fax" (should you wish to receive a fax using T.38) and "Enable pass through fax" options are enabled. These options are placed in the Codecs page for every extension and enabled by default.
Step 2:
Check if the extension has enough memory, and if an increase is required, do so in the "Extensions Edit" page.
Step 3:
Call from a fax machine to the extension and wait for the Voice Mail service to answer, the press the "Start" button on your fax machine to initiate a fax. The Quadro will receive the fax and store it into the extension's mailbox as an attachment in TIFF format.
Step 4:
You can print the fax from "0 (VMS login) menu from the phone, or download it from the Quadro's GUI (from Voice Mailbox page of extension), or you can enable "Send new voice messages via email" option from the extension's "Voice Mail Settings" page and send the fax file as an attachment to the defined email address.
Step 5:
In this instance, ensure that the Quadro's System Mail Settings are enabled and configured properly ("Systems Mail Settings" page).
